We have always taken steps that turned into significant moments on our path forward. The force that is Alicon today has its origins in a series of humble, yet ambitious, entities that were set up by the Indian founders and then strengthened by strategic partnerships with path-breaking companies around the world. Throughout our journey, we have set standards that have redefined solutions for the industry.

1967

Mr Charanjit Rai: Ground breaking ceremony of Atlas Automotive Components Pvt. Ltd.

1969

Atlas Automotive Components Pvt. Ltd., production begins in Chinchwad.

Collaborates with Karl Schmidt (Germany) for India’s first low pressure die casting technology transfer.

1992

Pegasus Castalloy Ltd. is established at Shikrapur.

 

1995

July: Sifa SA France invests in Pegasus Castalloy.

November: Listed in Stock Exchange.

1996

Silicon Meadows Design Ltd. is set up for tool design and manufacturing support.

 

1998

Pegasus Castalloy enters into Technical Collaboration with Enkei Corporation.

2002

Sifa SA shares bought by Enkei Corporation.

Name changed to Enkei Castalloy.

 

2005

Started production of Aluminium Wheels.

2006

A new plant is set up in Binola to cater to growing demand from automotive clients.

2009

Enkei Castalloy demerges into Alicon Castalloy Ltd. & Enkei Wheels India Ltd.

Silicon Meadows Engineering Services is established to cater to engineering and design needs of internal and external clients.

2010

Illichmann Castalloy, Austria merges into the Alicon group.

 

2011

TS16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHAS 18001 certifications earned.
Our in-house R&D unit is recognised by the Government of India.

2017

Atlas Castalloy merges into the Alicon Group.

2018

Group turnover crosses Rs. 1000 crore.
